Formed in 1940, the Utah Symphony is one of the country’s top symphony orchestras, known around the world for its signature performances and recording legacy. Over the years, the ensemble has played for both international and domestic audiences, and created award-winning recordings. For more than three decades, The Utah Symphony performed at the Tabernacle in the vibrant heart of Salt Lake City. The orchestra ascended to its present home at Abravanel Hall in the fall of 1979, and since 2003, its permanent summer home is the iconic Deer Valley Music Festival located in Park City, Utah. Today, the orchestra’s 85 full-time professional musicians stand tall as they perform more than a whopping 175 incredible concerts each season.
